Manifesto of an Ex-physicist

The intent of this blog is some disclaimer of "talking about physics, in a not physics way".

Somebody asked, "you are a physicist, right?"
Answer, "yes" ... "well, I used to be", "actually I was a physics major", "I did some research, but for a short while, on very specific things."

The dilemma is, how can I talk about physics, without repeating all the disclaimers? hence this manifesto [and some rationale] comes in.

  1. A level of sloppiness is implicitly allowed and sometimes intentionally included. This is the wrong place for the pure, pure stuff. [I attempted some reading on metaphysics and greek logic, and concluded that is not me]
  2. I take physics (or being a physicist) as a way of living, a self claimed, indulgent way, without the burden of proof. "Beyond proof" shall not be questioned. [This is a benefit of point 1]
  3. Consequently, the way of living as a physicist can benefit our everyday living, in an enjoyable way, without remembering all the formula and specifics. [Physics shall be enlightening and beneficial to normal people]
  4. References of work not readily recalled from memory (web sites, etc) is normally credited to the source.
With that being said, we can talk of topics by claiming as a physicist, without all the unwanted burdens.

Your criticism of "Ex-physicist" not being an English word is duly ignored.
